A SUCCESSFUL INSTALLATION

STARTS WITH WELL-PREPPED WALLS

ENSURE SMOOTHNESS

Your walls need to be in good condition, free of any cracks, holes, or damage to ensure the wallpaper adheres properly and looks smooth once applied. A smooth surface prevents bubbles or wrinkles in the wallpaper.Removing dust and ensuring the wall is completely dry helps the adhesive bond effectively.

CLEAN THE WALL

Ensure the wall is in good condition, free from humidity, cracking paint, and moisture. Begin by wiping it down with a dry cloth to remove dust and dirt, then clean the surface with rubbing alcohol before applying wallpaper.

DARK WALLS

If your wall is painted a dark color and you're applying a lighter wallpaper, it's a good idea to prime the wall first. This helps to create a neutral base, preventing the dark paint from showing through the wallpaper, especially with thinner or light-colored designs.

FRESH PAINT

Wallpaper should be installed over painted surfaces, not on raw, unpainted walls. If the wall has been freshly painted, allow at least 4 weeks for the paint to fully cure before applying wallpaper.

PRO TIPS BEFORE YOU START

Use a utility knife for precise edge cuts.

Begin your installation from the right side, working top to bottom

Choose a discreet corner to start, especially if wallpapering multiple walls.

Ensure the first strip is perfectly straight; this is crucial for a successful installation.

LET'S START WALLPAPERING!

Step 1: Prepare Your Panels

Lay Out Panels: Before starting, lay out all the panels in the correct orientation. If you're installing a mural, check the labels on the back, starting with the number ONE.
Wet the Wallpaper: Spray water onto the back of the sheet until it's thoroughly saturated or submerge it in a water tray filled to 2/3 with room temperature water for about 30 seconds.

Step 2: Activate the Adhesive

Unroll the Paper: Hold the top of the sheet and gently unroll it onto a work table, ensuring the paste is completely wet.
Fold to Keep Moist: Fold the sheet with the adhesive sides facing each other, and let it sit for three minutes to allow the adhesive to activate.

Step 3: Apply to the Wall

Position the Strip: Unfold the top half of the strip and apply it to the wall, overlapping slightly with the ceiling and adjacent wall. Make sure the pattern is oriented correctly.
Level It Up: Use a level to ensure the strip is parallel to the wall.

Step 4: Smooth and Secure

Use a Smoothing Tool: Gently press the strip to the wall without stretching it. Unfold the bottom half and smooth it into place.
Eliminate Air Pockets: Work diagonally from the top down and from the center outward to force out any trapped air.

Step 5: Final Touches

Moisten Edges: If needed, re-spray water around the edges during the application.
Clean Up Excess Adhesive: Once dry to the touch, wipe away any extra adhesive with a damp cloth.
Trim Excess Wallpaper: Use a sharp utility knife to trim along the ceiling and baseboard.

Step 6: Repeat with Additional Panels

Follow the same process for each strip, making sure to match patterns for a cohesive look.

Removal Tips (If Needed)

Should you need to remove your wallpaper in the future, follow these steps:

Soak the Walls and Wallpaper: Spray the wallpaper panels with water to relax the adhesive.
Start Peeling: Begin at the top and peel down a 6-8 inch section, then continue pulling back at a 180-degree angle until removed.
Reapply Water if Stuck: If the wallpaper feels tight, spray more water and wait 60-90 seconds before continuing to peel.

With these step-by-step instructions, you're all set to install your new wallpaper like a pro! Enjoy your beautifully transformed space!

Repeat patterns vs murals?

Wallpapers havea repeat pattern and offer a regular uniformed look, while murals offer alarger design across multiple panels without a periodical repeat. Every panel ofthe mural is different and is meant to line up the one next to it.
