PAINT COMPATIBILITY
Decals stick best to finishes like matte, eggshell, satin, or semi-gloss because these surfaces are just right for a smooth and secure grip. They make it easy to apply your decals without worrying about slipping or peeling. Choosing one of these paint types helps ensure your decals look great and stay in place for a long time!
SURFACE CONDITIONS
It's best to avoid installing decals on highly textured surfaces like concrete, stucco, or unfinished drywall with just a primer coat. These uneven surfaces make it hard for the decals to stick properly, often leading to peeling or a bumpy finish. For the smoothest, longest-lasting result, stick to flat, finished walls!
CLEAN THE WALL
Ensure the wall is in good condition, free from humidity, cracking paint, and moisture. Begin by wiping it down with a dry cloth to remove dust and dirt, then clean the surface with rubbing alcohol before applying wallpaper.
FRESH PAINT
Wallpaper should be installed over painted surfaces, not on raw, unpainted walls. If the wall has been freshly painted, allow at least 4 weeks for the paint to fully cure before applying wallpaper.
ONE-TIME USE
Remember, decals are designed for one-time use, so take your time to choose the perfect spot for them.
EXPOSED ADHESIVE
Once the white backing is removed, the adhesive is exposed. Be careful not to let the design fold over onto itself. Press and fold a corner of the white backing over, then rub the exposed section of the design onto the wall.
